Whose story are you living out?

If parts of your life feel scripted by pain, expectation, or survival, Storywork offers a way to reclaim your voice and come home to yourself.

Book a discovery call

We all live inside stories—about who we are, what we’re worth, and how the world works. Many of those stories were shaped in moments we didn’t choose.

StoryGroup work creates space to gently explore those defining chapters, understand how they’ve shaped you, and begin rewriting your life with greater freedom, clarity, and compassion. Healing doesn’t erase the past—but it can transform how you carry it.

A Sacred Space for Your Story

As the owner of Sacred Story Space, I offer a Narrative Focused Trauma Care (Storywork) practice that provides a secure and nurturing environment for individuals to reclaim the lives they were designed to live and to re-embody their imago dei—the image of God within them.

For much of my life, I lived out stories that weren’t fully my own. Storywork gave me language for pain I had carried silently, helped me understand how my stories shaped my beliefs and relationships, and opened a path toward freedom, healing, and a deeper sense of home within myself.

Today, I accompany individuals and groups as they courageously explore the stories that have shaped them. With care, curiosity, and reverence, we tend to both the beauty and the pain of your life so that you can move forward more fully yourself—grounded, connected, and alive to the story still unfolding.

How I can help

Whether through individual storywork, in a storywork group or by joining our community book club,  individual sessions or in a group, I am here to accompany you on your journey to becoming more of who you were meant to be.

Individual Storywork

A one-on-one space to explore your personal story with care, curiosity, and attunement. Together, we’ll look at the experiences and relationships that shaped you and how they continue to influence your present life—so you can move forward with greater agency and wholeness.

Group Storywork

Small, facilitated groups where healing happens in the presence of others. Group Storywork offers the power of shared humanity—being witnessed, resonated with, and supported as you explore your story alongside fellow sojourners.

  • “Hannah did a great job of caring for me and others, she asked great questions, acknowledged the hard and reassured me. I learned a lot from her and the group. It has motivated me to continue the work of my story. The group process is very valuable. Hannah has such a passion for others to work through their story, and you can tell from what she shared of her story.”

    — GM, Book Club Participant

  • “Hannah was an incredible leader! My life is forever changed because of God through this story work group, Dan Allender's teaching and Hannah May! I will forever be grateful for learning to attune, listen, validate, be honest with my feelings, name the harm, co-authoring my story, depending on God, caring for others, feeling the pain, naming the abuse. I believe Hannah is uniquely gifted and truly born to do this work of Facilitating and Counseling others. When I think of people God has used to most influence my life, Hannah May will be top of my list! I thank God for her care, compassion, truth telling, and incredible wisdom!”

    —Tracy L.

  • “Hannah was a beautiful facilitator. Her heart to care and bring each of us to that moment of trauma is fully seen. She has done so much work herself that it makes us understand the time and attention to our stories cannot be done quickly. Yet, it is so worth the time and care to ourselves and eventually to others, which is my hope. To help care for others. She has been a great example to me in this way. Anyone in her groups will be loved and cared for tenderly and challenged at the same time.”
